2024 marks a significant life milestone for The Freak as he officially hit the half-century mark during the peak of the 2024 vintage. To celebrate the occasion, John created a very special Riesling - the No.50.

In pursuit of perfection, John personally hand-selected the very best bunches from across the family vineyard at White Hutt in the Clare Valley, to create a Riesling of unrivalled elegance and purity. In true Rieslingfreak fashion, this precious fruit was treated with the deftest touch; endeavouring to perfectly preserve the natural beauty of the fruit from grape to glass. The family vineyard in White Hutt always produces wines of distinct character and generosity, but in the very best vintages can also produce wines of unrivalled elegance and delicacy. The No.50 is the ultimate example of the very best that this vineyard can produce, from one of the very best Rieslingfreak vintages ever seen.

With this being one of the most prestigious Rieslings to come out of the Freak’s cellar, and being extremely limited. As we believe this will be a Riesling for the decades, we encourage you that enjoy aged Riesling, or those that were born in 1974, to make the most of this Riesling, which at this stage, will not be made again, until the Freakette turn’s 50 in 2032!
